Kazakhstan proposed Mongolia to explore opportunities to increase bilateral trade in agricultural products and diversify supplies. This information became known after a meeting between Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, and Bayarhuu Dorj, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Among other topics, the prospects of exporting Kazakh grain were discussed.
Currently, the share of agricultural products in the total trade volume is 16%, mainly due to the export of Kazakh agricultural products to Mongolia.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of trade. Among the priority areas are the export of breeding livestock, the development of joint projects for processing skins and wool.
It is also planned to establish a working group on cooperation in agriculture between the Ministries of Agriculture of the two countries.
