Today, it is important for regional farmers to have the opportunity to extend favorable loans used to increase working capital for agricultural activities. For the second year in a row, the Southern Urals find themselves in an emergency situation, which negatively affects the financial position of agricultural enterprises.
“Our mission is to support farmers in every possible way provided by federal legislation. In addition to postponing the repayment terms of loans for farms that insured their crops this year, they will now have the opportunity to receive insurance payouts upon proving damage,” noted Alexey Kobylkin, Deputy Governor and Minister of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region.
The total area of eight insured enterprises amounts to 21 thousand hectares.
In municipalities affected by the emergency situation, commissions will be established to assess the damage. Re-surveying of fields is planned, and part of the affected crops will be replaced with fodder crops and removed.
The emergency zone covers territories in the districts of Agapovsky, Argayashsky, Krasnoarmeysky, Nagaybaksky, Nyazepetrovsky, Sosnovsky, Chebarkulsky, Chesmensky, and Miass city district.
According to preliminary data provided by municipalities, the area of affected agricultural crops is 35.9 thousand hectares.
However, it is worth noting that at the moment, 68% of sown areas have already been harvested in the Chelyabinsk region, and the total grain harvest amounted to 1.5 million tons.
