Export of dairy whey from Russia has increased by 6% in the first 10 months of 2024. The main importers are Kazakhstan and Belarus.

By October 2024, Russia increased the export of whey by 6% to $19 million. The main buyers are Kazakhstan (33%), Belarus (29%), and China (13%). By 2030, the shipment volume could grow to 45,000 tons.

Russia has entered the top 30 exporters of whey, with the leaders being the USA, Germany, and France.

According to information from "Agroexport", during the period from January to October 2024, the value of Russian whey exports increased by 6% compared to the previous year.

Experts estimate that approximately $19 million worth of Russian whey was delivered in the first 10 months of 2024, which is 6% more than in the same period of the previous year. Among the top three importers in terms of value, Kazakhstan leads (33%), followed by Belarus (29%), with China in third place (13%). According to preliminary estimates from "Agroexport", by 2030 the volume of Russian whey exports could reach 45 thousand tons.

The center noted that by the end of 2023, Russia entered the list of the top 30 whey exporters in terms of value. The main exporters of the product are the USA ($569 million), Germany ($502 million), and France ($370 million).
