According to Dmitry Krasnov, the head of "Agroexport", the cost indicator decreased slightly.
Since the beginning of 2024, the export of agricultural products from Russia in physical terms has increased by almost 10% compared to the same period in 2023. However, in terms of value, the cost has decreased, which may be corrected by the end of the year. Dmitry Krasnov stated this at the strategic meeting "Russian Agroexport 2024-2025".
"We faced a slight decrease in value, but I believe we will be able to overcome it by the end of 2024 and be at the level of the previous year, while the physical volume of exports has increased by about 10%. On the one hand, this is a good indicator, but on the other hand, it tells us a lot, including the burden on export infrastructure," said Krasnov.
He also noted significant potential for further development of meat, dairy, and processed product exports, which showed extraordinary dynamics in 2024. For example, meat deliveries increased by 20% in value, poultry and beef by 12-13%, and pork by almost 40%.
In October 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev told the TV channel "Russia-24" that Russia plans to supply more than 108 million tons of agricultural products to foreign markets in 2024.
In 2023, the volume of Russian agricultural product exports to international markets amounted to 43.5 billion dollars. Over 100 million tons of food were exported in total.
