Bulgaria forecasts wheat harvest collection up to 6.3 million tons in 2024, slightly lower than the previous year.

In 2024, Bulgaria plans to harvest 6.1-6.3 million tons of wheat, slightly less than last year. They will sow around 1.1 million hectares with a yield of 5 t/ha. Additionally, they will harvest 800 thousand tons of barley from 160 thousand hectares.

According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bulgaria, the country plans to harvest between 6.1 and 6.3 million tons of wheat in 2024, slightly less than the previous year (6.59 million tons).

It is expected that the wheat sowing area will be around 1.1 million hectares, with an average yield of 5 tons per hectare.

In addition, Bulgaria expects to harvest over 800 thousand tons of barley from an area of 160 thousand hectares.
