During their visit, Russian machinery manufacturers visited the largest plantations of agricultural crops in Brazil, such as cotton, soybeans, and corn. They also familiarized themselves with the work of technological parks.
One of the key points of the business program was participation in the popular agricultural exhibition in Brazil – Bahia Farm Show, which took place in the state of Bahia. The presentation of innovative forage equipment KRMZ Innovation, which uses the "KRMZ Technology: silage in line", was featured at the general information stand of Russian factories.
Dmitry Teplov, director of KRMZ, shared his opinion:
– The dairy and meat sector in Brazil is undergoing changes, farmers are transitioning to the barn keeping system for cattle and are looking for new technologies that can increase the efficiency of agricultural enterprises in this direction. During the exhibition, we held negotiations with potential agricultural equipment dealers and representatives of local farms who are in need of new solutions for feed preparation. Both showed great interest in our machinery. Packing feed in film is in general a new solution for the Brazilian agricultural sector, and we are in the leading positions in this market, offering not only the supply of machinery but also training farmers in this technology so that they can obtain high-quality feed from the first season.
Brazil ranks 6th in global milk production, just after Russia. The production of cow's milk in the country accounts for about 5% of the world's volume. The total number of cattle in Brazil is 220 million heads.
According to the results of the visit, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the state of Bahia expressed interest in developing cooperation with Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery and food equipment.
The business mission of Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery and food equipment to Brazil was organized by the Association "Rosspetsmash" with the support of the Trade Representation of Russia in this country.
KRMZ has been working in the field of green forage equipment since 2003. One of the main differences of the "KRMZ Technology: silage in line" from conventional "Packaged silage" lies in the way of packing mown grass: the high-speed packer SPEEDWAY 120 wraps rolls with agristretch in 6-8 layers and arranges them "in line", which allows to save up to 50% of agristretch film.
Using the "KRMZ Technology: silage in line" allows to minimize the time from mowing the grass to its packaging – this technology helps meat and dairy farms to accumulate a sufficient amount of quality feed for cattle even in case of a rainy summer. Silage stored in film has almost the same energy value, protein content, sugars, and vitamins as grass from pasture. This positively affects the productivity of animals and the quality of raw milk.
