Oat futures
Oat futures are hedging instruments that provide an opportunity to hedge against sharp price fluctuations for a range of market participants. They also act as a global reference for valuing the commodity and provide portfolio diversification opportunities. Oat futures prices are quoted in US dollars per 100 bushels (1 contract includes 100 bushels, 1 lot contains 50 100 bushels of conditional measures of oats). A bushel is a measure of volume and weight; 1 US bushel = 35.2391 liters; 1 bushel of oats = 14.52 kg.
