Bull

(slang) a stock trader who plays on the stock exchanges. Anticipating an increase in the price of securities and contributing to such an increase, B. buy up in advance securities, the rate of which should increase, so that later they can profitably sell at a higher price, carrying out a speculative operation. The nickname "bulls" is associated with the desire of such players to raise the price of "horns".
