The main material of the active substances of living cells. Plants assimilate in the form of salts - nitrates (salts of nitric acid) and ammonium compounds (NH4). The addition of nitrogen enhances GROWTH processes, the growth of the plant body. On fertilizers, it is indicated by the prefix NITRO-, AMMO-, AZO-.
